What is ALGO
Algorand (ALGO) is a Layer-1 blockchain using Pure Proof-of-Stake, built by a team led by Turing Award winner Silvio Micali. The network offers high throughput, low fees and near-instant block finality without forks. Algorand has been used for real-world asset tokenisation, CBDC pilots and payments. ALGO secures the network, pays fees and powers on-chain governance.
