How safe is Lune.fi,
really?
Instead of a vague 'trusted' badge, we grade Lune.fi on five concrete, checkable criteria — each with sources. Here's exactly how it scores.
Criterion by criterion, with sources
- ✗
Regulation
No licence. The site footer names a legal entity — Lune International Holdings LTD, an IBC of the Republic of Seychelles, reg. no. 250439 — but that is the venue's own claim, not a verified fact: Seychelles publishes no public register of ACTIVE IBCs, and the FSA search covers only struck-off and dissolved companies (this one is not among them). What is verifiable: the VASP Act 2024 has been in force since 1 September 2024, virtual-asset services with a nexus to Seychelles require a licence, and the transitional period ended 31 December 2024. In the FSA register the "licensed VASPs" section is EMPTY across all four categories as of 1 Sep 2026 — nobody holds a licence yet. The "assessment" section, which lists firms that filed a complete application and may therefore keep operating until the regulator decides, names OKX, Bybit, eToro, Bequant, Thecorio and BTG Technology. Lune appears in neither section. An IBC registration on its own is company formation, not permission to take client money: no supervision, no capital requirement, no client-money protection. The team is anonymous and there is no KYC. Earlier reviews cited the Grenadines as headquarters, which conflicts with the current claim. Source 1 → Source 2 → Source 3 → Source 4 →

Proof-of-Reserves
Proof-of-reserves is mentioned nowhere. The claimed "continuous security audits" come with no auditor name and not a single published report. The TVL and trading volumes that supposedly fund the yield are undisclosed. Source →
- ✓
Flexible withdrawal
You can withdraw on any day: the 1-day pool (18% on USDT/USDC, 14% on BTC/ETH) pays interest every 24 hours and returns the principal after one day. Longer pools pay more — up to 29.5% for 360 days — but leaving one before its term ends returns only the principal: all interest for that pool is forfeited. Both ends of this ladder are shown in the rates. Source →
- ✗
Insurance Fund
No deposit insurance — the platform itself admits there is no FDIC-style protection and no insurance fund. The Fireblocks/Safe Wallet mentions are marketing claims with no independent verification. Source →

Track record (2+ years incident-free)
No verifiable history: no independent press, no public metrics, not a single Reddit thread. The economics of 29.5% on stables "from 0.4–5.9% swap fees" do not publicly add up — the same unexplained-yield pattern Anchor (−100%, 2022) and Celsius (bankrupt, 2022) showed before collapsing. Source →
