User Protection Fund: over $464M before the 24 September 2026 hack, per Bitget (earlier reported at $600M+). Track record (2+ years incident-free)

Operating since 2018. On 24 September 2026 at 18:31 UTC attackers moved about $387.5M (Bitget's figure of 25 September; first estimated at $351.6M) out of parts of Bitget's hot and warm wallets; cold wallets were not touched. Bitget says the loss is covered by its User Protection Fund (over $464M at the time) and account balances are intact. Withdrawals were suspended pending a security review and restored in phases — BTC on 28 September, ETH on 29 September, USDT on 30 September, the rest on 2 October; ADA, the last major coin still closed, had reopened by 15 October. Reports by SlowMist and Mandiant, published on 30 September, trace the breach to compromised third-party security products. Earlier, in April 2025, a bug in the VOXEL perpetual-futures market-making bot let eight accounts take ~$20M; Bitget rolled back the trades and compensated users from the same fund. How it works

How W earns on Bitget Earn

When you deposit W into Bitget Earn's earn product you receive 8.27 % APY as a Flexible rate. The platform puts the asset to work and shares the yield — your balance grows without you doing anything.

This is a base rate, not a promotional teaser: it's what an ordinary deposit actually earns. Bitget Earn carries a YieldScope safety grade of B, so weigh the yield against platform risk — a higher rate on a weaker grade is not automatically a better deal.

Rates on W move with lending demand and market conditions. We re-check them daily and keep a history, so you can see whether today's number is unusually high, unusually low, or steady.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the W earn rate on Bitget Earn?
Bitget Earn currently pays 8.27 % APY on W as a Flexible rate. Rates float and are refreshed daily on YieldScope — see the date stamp above for the last update. Over the 102 days we have recorded it, Bitget Earn changed this W rate 14 times; the current one has held for 0 days.
Is earning W on Bitget Earn safe?
Bitget Earn has a YieldScope safety grade of B, based on five binary criteria: regulation, proof of reserves, flexible withdrawal, insurance fund and incident track record. A higher grade means lower platform risk — but no yield is risk-free, and this is not financial advice.
Can I withdraw W anytime on Bitget Earn?
Yes — this W rate is flexible, so you can withdraw without a fixed lock-up period.
How is the W yield generated?
Earn products pay you because the platform puts your W to work — typically lending it to borrowers or deploying it in market-making — and passes part of the return back to you. That's also why yield carries risk: it isn't free money, and it depends on the platform staying solvent.
