How safe is BISON,
really?
Instead of a vague 'trusted' badge, we grade BISON on five concrete, checkable criteria — each with sources. Here's exactly how it scores.
Criterion by criterion, with sources
- ✓ Regulation
BISON is a Börse Stuttgart Digital app. Its custodian (Boerse Stuttgart Digital Custody, formerly blocknox) and trading counterparty (EUWAX AG) are BaFin-supervised with MiCA CASP licenses. Caveat — the staking service itself is not MiCAR-regulated. Source →
- ✗ Proof-of-Reserves
No public cryptographic Merkle-tree proof-of-reserves. It cites regular independent audits reported to the regulator (BaFin) and ISO 27001, but no public PoR report or auditor name is published. Source →
- ✗ Flexible withdrawal
Staking is marketed as "unstake any time", but the actual unbonding takes 7 to 45 days for ETH and up to 45 days for SOL — native PoS unstaking during which coins can't be withdrawn or traded. Source →
- ✓ Insurance Fund
There is slashing-risk insurance for ETH staking, built with Munich Re and Staking Facilities, plus custodian coverage of stored assets against theft/hacks. Caveat — German deposit insurance covers only EUR balances, not crypto. Source →
- ✓ Track record (2+ years incident-free)
Operating since January 2019 (6+ years), passing 1M active traders in 2026. No public hacks or fund freezes found — only phishing scams using the BISON name, not a platform breach. Source →
