In November 2023 Binance and its founder pleaded guilty to US anti-money-laundering and sanctions charges and paid $4.3B — a regulatory case, counted under regulation. During the 10 October 2025 crash USDe, wBETH and BNSOL depegged on Binance's own price feed and it paid about $283M in compensation, but there was no hack, no withdrawal halt longer than an hour and no loss of custodied funds.
