What is BTT
BitTorrent (BTT) is the token for the BitTorrent protocol, which Justin Sun acquired in 2018 and integrated into the TRON ecosystem. The intended use is to pay peers for faster downloads and to rent decentralised storage via BTFS (BitTorrent File System). A 2022 redenomination swapped the old BTT for the new at a 1:1000 ratio. In practice, on-chain usage of the protocol is minimal, and the price largely tracks the broader TRON ecosystem.
